Changes To Our Cashless Catering System - May 2012

As you may know, at Burntwood we are improving and modernising our arrangements for payments to the school. We will be using two providers, ParentPay and Cunninghams. Their systems provide a simple and effective way of ensuring that payments made by families for lunches, trips, uniform and other occasional expenses are straightforward and secure.

Having problems viewing our new school website?

Modern browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox etc) are very clever, they store a website in the browser's cache memory (Temporary Internet Files) so that on the next visit the website would load quickly and efficiently. This sometime can cause a problem if the website has been re-developed as browser is confused on what to display.

Important notice re: School closures due to new building works

28th and 29th of June 2012 - School will be closed for Key Stage 3 students (Years 7, 8 and 9) on these two days. Year 10 will be undertaking Mid Course Assessments and should come into school when they are timetabled for an exam.

Year 9 Exams - 1st May 2012

I thought it would be helpful to clarify the forthcoming assessments for Year 9 students. These include the GCSE Citizenship exam and the end of Key Stage 3 tests in English, Maths and ICT Functional Skills.
