'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows' is going to be a two-part film

Potter film is 'split in half'

It would be impossible to cram Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows’ 608 pages into a single movie, Producer David Heyman told the Los Angeles Times. “Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book,” he said.

In the past movies of the Harry Potter series, fans have been left disappointed when key scenes, including Quidditch matches, were not included in the film.

“I was very disappointed when some of my favourite parts of the Harry Potter books were cut out of the films, so I am very pleased to hear the they will keep all the most important scenes in” local Harry Potter fan says.

Daniel Radcliffe the star of the film told the Los Angeles Times that a split for the final film was the only way for filmmakers.

"There have been subplots in the other books that have made them easier to cut - although those cuts were still to the horror of some fans but the seventh book doesn't really have any subplots. It's one driving, pounding story from the word go," he told the paper.

The two parts of the seventh film will be shot back to back, according to film trade paper Variety. The first of the two parts will be hitting the screens in November 2010, and the second is to be released the following May.

This Kill Bill strategy for releasing the movie will boost profits at Warner Bros film studio.

The film is predicted to be a sure hit at the box office as the first five movies have made £2.2 billion ($4.5 billion) worldwide – this makes it the biggest film franchise in box office history, which surpasses both James Bond and Star Wars.
