Burntwood Year 10 student, Raye Douglas-Gillatt, has so far raised a magnificent £2,500 for Cancer Research UK by shaving off her hair.
'SUPERB’ ‘FANTASTIC’ ‘AMAZING’ were just some of the many complements paid by audiences after seeing Burntwood’s latest whole school production, the musical ‘Hairspray’.
Burntwood School is delighted to be the winner of the 2009 Wandsworth Green Champion Award in the category of Green Secondary School or Sixth Form College.
This year’s eagerly anticipated whole school production is the musical ‘Hairspray’.
Burntwood School is through to the final of the 2009 Wandsworth Green Champions Competition in the category of Green Secondary School or Sixth Form College.
Following their success in the attorney General’s youthnet competition, year 9 students took up their places on the AG Youth Advisory Council in December.
Students and staff have responded to the terrible earthquake in Haiti with a number of creative fundraising ideas.
On Wednesday 9th December, Burntwood’s Chamber Choir provided the music for The Mission to Seafarers’ annual carol concert. This prestigious concert was held at the church of St Michael Paternoster Royal in the City of London in the presence of the society’s President, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
Uniform for Key Stage 3 has now been updated.
Mr Harper, Deputy Principal, attended a high-profile ceremony in the City of London on the Friday 16th October and was presented Burntwood School’s prestigious International School Award by broadcaster and journalist George Alagiah.
