Author Visit Mary Hooper - 20th September 2011

This month, author Mary Hooper visited Burntwood School to talk to Year 7 students about her new historical novel, ‘Velvet’, a romantic thriller set in Victorian London.

Mary Hooper described to students how she researches her books and then shared with them her writing techniques. Students asked a range of thoughtful questions and were able to purchase signed copies of Mary’s books. Authors Bali Rai and Sophie McKenzie will be visiting Burntwood later this term.
