Library’s Successful Sleepover - 1st November 2010
Burntwood Library‘s ‘Sleepover’ for Year 7 students was a great success. Fifty nine Year 7s enjoyed an evening of games and quizzes followed by pizza and a movie.
The ‘Sleepover’, organised and run by Burntwood Librarian, Mrs Siddiqi and Head of English and Media Studies, Ms Latimer-Jones, assisted by teachers and Sixth Form students, aims to help students new to Burntwood to settle in and show them that there is more to the Library than just books.
The Year 7s thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Sleepover’. As well as getting to know the school and making new friends, they now consider the Library a fun place to visit during the school day.
