Thrills and Chills at The Library Party - 23th October 2011
Sixty Year 7 students attended the Library’s ‘Friday Night Fears’ party on the 14th of October. The Year 7s thoroughly enjoyed an evening of spooky games, competitions and stories followed by pizza and a movie.
As well as getting to know the school and making new friends, they now think of the Library as a great place to visit during the school day. The ‘Friday Night Fears’ party, organised and run by Burntwood Librarian, Mrs Siddiqi and Head of English and Media Studies, Ms Latimer-Jones, assisted by teachers and Sixth Form students, helps students new to Burntwood to settle in and show them that there is more to the Library than just shelves of books.
