Burntwood - An International School! - 20th October 2011
This month, Burntwood was one of five Wandsworth schools to welcome to London, teachers from their partner schools in China. The delegation from the Dongli Education Bureau spent six days in the UK to develop further the existing links between schools in China and Wandsworth.
Burntwood was delighted to welcome Mrs Wang Xiaoping, a teacher of English at Dabizhuang High School, Burntwood’s partner school in Tianjin. Mrs Wang visited lessons and met with students and staff to discuss a new Joint Curriculum Project.
This British Council funded ‘Connecting Classrooms China’ scheme will enable both schools to work on a number of shared activities exploring the theme ‘The Motto and Values of the Olympic Movement’.
