Burntwood Olympic Club - 13th January 2012
In preparation for Burntwood’s celebration of London 2012, an exciting new club for students has been launched. Olympic Club members will have a key role in coordinating Burntwood’s Olympic-inspired events this summer, with projects such as creating a Burntwood mascot and organising a ‘Games themed’ Sports Day.
They will also be responsible for keeping Burntwood’s partner schools across the globe up-to-date with Olympic news and events at Burntwood, and will blog on the ‘Get Set’ network, London 2012’s education programme to involve young people in the excitement and inspiration of the Games. Club members will also help to plan the Opening Ceremony of Burntwood’s brand new Sports Hall next month.
The club will take place in room 119 every Fridays between 12.40 - 1.10pm and everyone is welcome to join.
