Top Results for Burntwood Students - 31st August 2011

The rain didn’t dampen the celebrations at Burntwood School today as this year’s GCSE exam results were published!

Burntwood’s Year 11 students have achieved Burntwood’s best ever results at GCSE level, with 79% of students gaining 5 A*-C grades and 69% achieving 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths.

Burntwood Principal, Helen Dorfman, said “We are delighted with this year’s GCSE results which are the best ever at Burntwood. 79% of our Year 11 students achieved 5 or more ‘good’ grades and 69% achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. These marvelous results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of all our Year 11 students and the staff at Burntwood School.”
