This is a summary of the minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 14th September 2010

1. Introduction and Welcome
2. BSBP
Parents were invited to look at the plans for the new build. CH presented the design by the award-winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and explained that Bovis Lend Lease, the preferred bidder, will carry out the work with no temporary accommodation. Parents suggested that a small exhibition of the proposed work could be on view at every Parents’ Evening.
3. Rights Respecting School, Eco School, SEAL and Specialism Redesignation
CH presented a paper on a range of educational and government initiatives with which the school is engaged. He explained how these have a positive affect on the daily life of the school and discussed how these will be reflected in the BSBP (Burntwood School Building Project). A particular focus for this year will be achieving Level 2 of the Rights Respecting Award and Eco School Green Flag status.
4. AOB
- Parents would like more water fountains to be included in the new build.
- Helpful suggestions were given regarding Year 7 recruitment and have been passed to Burntwood’s Primary Liaison Officer.
The date of the next meeting is Tuesday 16th November 2010 6.30pm – 7.30pm
