Subatomic Searching at CERN - 27th February 2012
This month, 14 A Level Physics students from Years 12 and 13 travelled with Mrs Ferrari and Mrs Din to Switzerland to visit CERN.
What Does It Mean To Be Free? - 13th February 2012
In February, Year 13 students attended a Philosophy of Religion conference called ‘Freedom!’ The conference was organised by the philosopher Dr Peter Vardy, lecturer at King’s College London and the Institute of Education.

AS Geography Visit to Swanage - 13th December 2011

Exploring Medical Ethics - 30th November 2011
On Friday 25th November, Sir Donald Irvine, retired doctor and chairman of the healthcare charity Picker Institute Europe, visited Burntwood to talk to Year 13 Religious Studies students.

On Thursday 17th November, Year 13 students completing an Extended Project enjoyed a trip with Business teacher, Mr Whapham, to University College London.

Incredible Indian Journey - 12th July 2011
From the 2nd to the 9th July, eight students from four schools in Wandsworth, including Burntwood Sixth Formers, Annie Gingell and me (Lucy Dyer), were on a school trip to India.
Goodbye To Year 13 - 28th June 2011
Year 13 students celebrated their time at Burntwood Sixth Form with a Leavers’ Party. A disco, a candy floss stand and a bouncy castle helped to make the celebration a truly memorable event.
Sixth Formers Invited to Hear President Obama’s speech - 26th May 2011
Burntwood students Emily Cunningham, Year 13, and Priscilla Mensah, Year 12, both winners of the ‘Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship’ debating competition were invited by the US Embassy to attend President Obama’s address to Members of both Houses of Parliament in Westminster Hall on Wednesday 24th May.
