REPORTS AND PARENTS' MEETINGS

It is an essential part of our assessment policy that teachers and students jointly review and discuss subject reports. They plan for future work in the light of this evidence and dialogue, and record a set of targets for the student's individual development plan. This review and planning process takes place twice each academic year, in September and in February. It is based on written reports or grades sheets for each subject followed up by an Academic Counselling Day when each student and her parents make an appointment to see her tutor for a personal consultation. Parents are also invited to attend a Parents' Evening to discuss their daughter's progress with her subject teachers. If parents wish to visit the school at other times they are welcome to do so but should write or telephone for an appointment.

Parents' Information Evenings

Parents play an active role within the school community, supporting their daughters in their work and development. Each year group has its own Parents' Information Evenings which are jointly chaired by the Year Curriculum Co-ordinator and their Senior Management Team Link. Parents' Information Evenings have played a major role in shaping the school's Anti-Bullying Policy. They have been used to examine curriculum information documents relevant to parents, and they provide information such as preparation for SATs, and managing progress files.
