General Commentary on Year 11 Examination Results -2007
We are delighted that 2007 saw excellent GCSE Examination results with over 70% of all papers being graded at C or better and an increase in the number of papers being awarded the top A* or A grade. These results mean that over 2/3rds of our Year 11 students will progress to studying 'A' levels.
Success in examinations is a testament to the hard work of staff and students and put the school in a strong position for the future.
Students with
a variety of special educational needs including learning difficulties,
disabilities, and social, emotional and behaviour difficulties
sat a range of public exams in the Summer 2007 series. One A level
student with a serious medical condition achieved passes in Geography
(grade E) and Sociology (grade A). Four other students in Year
Thirteen achieved a total of ten passes (2G, 2F, 1E, 3D, 2C grades).
Year Twelve grades achieved were: 2E, 1D, 1C, 3B and 2A grades.
Year Eleven students recorded on the SEN Database at levels School
Action Plus and Statement achieved a total of one hundred and
seventy two passes at GCSE and two Entry Level Three passes. The
GCSE grades were: 8A*, 6A, 9B, 33C, 44D, 26E, 30F and 16G grades.
