Burntwood students participate in Remembrance parade
Many of our Burntwood students volunteer with the Police and Army Cadets. For some this links to a wider interest or career aspirations; for others as part of their Duke of Edinburgh qualification; and for many a sociable community in which invaluable skills are learnt.
Asharnae is one of our Army Cadets and was involved in this year’s Remembrance March.
“On Sunday 10th November, I went to Central London with The Royal Army Cadets to parade through the city. We were joined by the army, the navy and the marines who were all dressed up and marching with us, and many others who had come to lay flowers. There were also dogs running around!
The event was filmed and we were shown on the BBC. It was so fun to be involved with my friends from The Royal Army Cadets, and it’s an experience that I think everyone would enjoy being a part of’.
