Student Leadership
At Burntwood School, we take every opportunity to provide our students with experiences that will equip them with the skills and knowledge to flourish in further education and beyond. In order for students to develop the confidence, experience and skill to become the women of tomorrow, opportunities for leadership are essential.
Students at Burntwood can participate in the Student Council, or be a Tutor Representative, in every year group. Additionally, in both the lower school and the Sixth Form we have Student Leadership Teams who meet regularly, discuss current issues and liaise with key members of staff. The Student Leadership Teams are voted democratically and are empowered to take decisions in the best interests of the entire student body. In the Sixth Form, our Head Students play a key role in representing the study body at key events. Furthermore, students in the lower school can develop their leadership skills through the Sports Leaders programme.
