Lower Year - Open Events & Parent Evenings

We are pleased to provide essential information regarding our upcoming Parents' Evenings and Information Evenings at Burntwood School. These events are invaluable opportunities for parents and carers to engage directly with teachers and Year Teams, allowing for meaningful discussions about students' academic and personal progress. Below, you will find the schedule for Parents' Evenings, where you can connect with educators to review strengths and set targets for improvement, as well as the dates for Information Evenings designed to equip families with key insights to support their children throughout the school year. Open Event: Visiting Burntwood - Year 7 intake September 2025

We would be delighted to welcome carers and prospective pupils to one of our upcoming open events.

Visitors are invited to arrive at 9.15am for open mornings and at 6.00pm for our open evening events. There will be student guided tours of the school, where you will have the opportunity to view our facilities and talk to students and staff about life at Burntwood.  Visitors are welcome to refreshments before a series of presentations from our Principal and current students at the school.

These events are designed for Year 7 entry in September 2025, although we welcome visitors from parents of Year 5 and 4 students. 

We advise all visitors to arrive promptly if they wish to tour the school in its entirety, a complete tour of the school will take between 45 minutes to an hour. The last tour will leave 30 minutes prior to the Principal’s presentation and will be condensed.

Open mornings offer the perfect opportunity to meet pupils and staff and to tour the school on a normal working day.

Our Autumn dates are particularly useful for those who wish to view Burntwood prior to their child sitting the Wandsworth Year 6 test in September 2024.
