There are voluntary programme of extra curricular activities available to everyone on all days. Students receive information about these activities from YCCs and Heads of Departments.
Lunchtime
Students remain on site during the lunch period. They have the opportunity to purchase meals from the Refectory or bring a packed lunch from home.
Many extra curricular activities take place at this time. Before school and at mid-morning break a service of light refreshments is available.
Some Year 11 students are given permission to leave the school site at lunchtime. In order for students to be issued with a photocard to do this, parents must give written consent. Only students who are up-to-date with GCSE work and have an excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour record are given the opportunity to leave the site at lunchtime. It is also conditional on students demonstrating excellent conduct within the local community. Lunchtime passes will be withdrawn if these conditions are not met.
